State-of-the-art equipment such as the OCT and GDx allow Kerin and her orthoptist to identify concerns far before one is able to notice changes in vision and provide a considerably more comprehensive examination than your average optometrist.

Disease can usually progress to an advanced stage before any effects are noticed, by which time treatment and control is much more difficult and less promising. At Optopia we also have two visual field analysers, each with their own advantages, and retinal cameras that enable detailed photography of inside the eye.

All the equipment at Optopia is fully integrated and networked which allows effective and efficient analysis of results and more importantly records are stored in secure database that provides far greater longevity than traditional paper records.
